Job summary

Justice Support Centre is seeking a Case Worker with a Specialist First Nations Focus to provide comprehensive case management for mothers, children and young people identified as First Nations. The role includes safety assessments, referrals, and community education, working closely with the DFV Casework Services Manager.

The position emphasizes trauma-informed practice, confidentiality, and building partnerships with local Aboriginal communities to promote services across Sydney.

Qualifications

• Experience in the welfare sector and case management for First Nations individuals.
• Strong communication and ability to work with diverse communities.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, risk and safety assessments for First Nations clients.
• Provide expert advice, referrals and community education to improve services.
• Develop and deliver training and strengthen referral networks with local services.
• Collaborate with the DFV Casework Services Manager to support women, children and young people.
• Maintain policies on confidentiality, privacy, child protection and professional conduct.
