Job summary

DH Engineering in Sunshine West, VIC, is seeking a Trade qualified First Class Welder / Boiler Maker to join their precision metal manufacturing team. You will perform precision fabrication, material prep, assembly and inspection per drawings and Australian standards, working with MIG, TIG, and other welding processes.

The role requires a Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication or Welding) and at least 1 year of welding experience.

Qualifications

Trade qualification required: Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication or Welding).
Minimum 1 year full-time welding/metal fabrication experience.
Experience with MIG, TIG, Stick, Spot, Laser & Plastic welders and CNC plasma cutters.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, welding symbols and specs; communicate in English.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols.
Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, Spot, Laser and Plastic welding.
Calibrate welding equipment settings for different materials.
Inspect parts using micrometres, vernier callipers, and gauges.
Clean, grind, finish, and coat completed metal assemblies.
Operate CNC plasma cutter, centre lathes, and milling machines.
Maintain quality records and follow WHS rules.
Work with team to meet project timelines.
