Job summary

Dream Engineering & Fabrication Pty Ltd (trading as Dream Fabrication) is seeking a qualified Welder (First Class) to join our Derrimut-based fabrication team on a permanent full-time basis. You will weld and fabricate metal components in accordance with engineering drawings and Australian Standards, using MIG, TIG and Stick processes.

The role requires a minimum 1 year of experience, trade qualifications, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time work experience as a Welder (First Class).
• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade and/or Certificate IV in Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in metal fabrication and welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on steel and other metals.
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components.
• Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, shaping, grinding, and cleaning.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with specifications.
• Carry out rework or repairs where required to meet quality standards.
• Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and quality assurance requirements.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
