Job summary

Queensland Government's Cairns Hospital seeks a Security Officer to assist in protecting property and supporting staff on site. You will help with crowd and media control for helicopter medivac landings and special events, conduct inspections for fire safety and asset maintenance, and ensure regulated parking around the hospital.

This role requires commitment to health service delivery in Far North Queensland. Vaccine requirements apply as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide crowd control, media control and any other security requirement for helicopter medivac landings or special events.
• Conduct regular inspections of building and equipment assets to ensure serviceability and effective fire safety and security precautions are being observed.
• Ensure regulated parking policy provisions are observed within the Cairns Hospital and in the immediate vicinity of the Hospital (including at adjacent public transport waiting points).
