Job summary

Auscoast Fire Services on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a motivated Fire Services Designer / Draftsperson cadet to join our Sunshine Coast team. You will prepare and update fire services drawings and design documentation to support projects from planning through to installation and completion.

Working with designers, project managers, technicians, clients and other stakeholders, you’ll help develop clear, buildable solutions aligned with project requirements and relevant standards, across

Qualifications

Experience in CAD drafting, building services or fire protection design.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate drawings.
Ability to interpret project information and apply Australian Standards.
Good communication and time-management skills.
Proactive problem-solving and team-coordination mindset.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

Producing and revising fire services drawings using CAD and/or BIM software.
Supporting the design and documentation of fire protection systems.
Coordinating drawings with architectural, structural and other building services information.
Communicating with project teams, clients, contractors and consultants to resolve design queries.
Reviewing project information and identifying clashes or practical installation issues.
Managing drawing updates and design documentation to meet project deadlines.
Supporting the team through project delivery, installation and completion.
