Job summary

Total Fire Solutions is seeking a Draftsperson to join the Heatherbrae Engineering Division. This full-time, office-based role focuses on producing detailed engineering drawings for electrical and mechanical fire protection systems across commercial and industrial projects.

You will work with engineers and stakeholders to ensure compliant, accurate designs and project documentation throughout the lifecycle, with professional development and diverse project exposure in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD with demonstrated engineering drawings experience.
• Experience drafting electrical and mechanical fire protection systems or willingness to learn.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Safety awareness and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for electrical and mechanical fire protection systems
• Develop layouts, schematics, fabrication drawings and as built documentation
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and field personnel to deliver project outcomes
• Liaise with mining, industrial and commercial customers to support design requirements and project delivery
• Ensure drawings and documentation comply with relevant Australian Standards and client specifications
