Job summary

Firemex Pty Ltd, based in Salisbury, Queensland, is seeking an experienced Project Manager or cadet-in-training to coordinate the supply and installation of doors and frames. You will manage multiple projects across commercial and residential developments, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to client specifications.

Responsibilities include reading construction drawings, preparing job sheets, coordinating lead times, and producing accurate tender estimates.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in a similar position or construction industry is advantageous.
• Very high attention to detail and accuracy is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Order door frames and required materials for the project.
• Prepare job sheet for manufacture and coordinate lead times with Factory Manager.
• Organise delivery to site and installation with InstallCo-ordinator.
• Ensure the job stays on track within client timeframes.
• Communicate with clients to update on job status.
• Prepare job files for invoicing or variations promptly.
• Maintain all documentation in job files and computer systems.
• Read construction drawings and translate into take-offs.
• Provide accurate tender and quotation estimates.

Firemex Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of fire doors and solid core doors located in Salisbury. We have been supplying the building industry for over 30 years. We manufacture, supply and install doors at job locations throughout Queensland, as well as interstate and overseas.

We are currently seeking an experiencedProject Manager or cadet in training to co-ordinate thesupply and installation ofdoors and frames.

Projects will include shopping centres, residential developments, schools, aged care facilities, commercial buildings.

Key duties for this role:

• Order door frames and associatedmaterials required for project
• Prepare job sheet fordoor manufacture and co-ordinate lead times with Factory Manager
• Organise deliveryto site and installation of doors with our InstallCo-ordinator
• Ensure job stays on track within client's timeframes
• Communicate with client to keep them up to date regarding the status of job
• Prepare job file for invoicing or part claims including variations in a timely manner
• Ensure all documentation is maintained in job files and computer programs
• Ability to read construction drawings and interpret into take offs
• Provide accurate estimation of tenders and quotes

The successful applicant will possess the following:

• Relevant experience in a similar position or experience in the construction industry will be an advantage
• High level of organisational and time management skills as you will have several projects to co-ordinate at the same time
• Very high attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional written and verbal communication
• Experience using Simpro will be an advantage
