Job summary

The Perth Mint is seeking a Team Lead Fire Assay for our Refinery Laboratory on a permanent full-time basis, with immediate start available. This role balances hands-on laboratory work with leading a small team and coordinating daily activities.

You will report to the Supervisor Fire Assay and ensure safe, accurate, on-time delivery while carrying out fire assay tasks alongside the team. Competitive salary plus superannuation included.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Laboratory Technology required, with laboratory experience.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team.
• Experience with fire assay processes in a commercial laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily laboratory activities and manage changing priorities.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team.
• Carry out fire assay and routine laboratory activities alongside the team.
• Drive a culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement.
