• Lead and support cloud financial reporting and cost management initiatives, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and enhance cloud cost reports, dashboards, service catalogs, and governance processes.
• Partner with cloud engineers, finance teams, and business stakeholders to analyze cloud consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities.
• Provide clear, actionable recommendations that support informed commercial and operational decisions.
• Support the implementation and ongoing management of cloud service catalogs, including service classification, costing, and reporting.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud FinOps Consultant to help organisations improve cloud cost transparency, financial reporting, governance, and decision‑making across complex cloud environments.

Working with cloud engineering, infrastructure, finance, and business stakeholders, you will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cloud financial operations practices. You will use cloud management and enterprise reporting platforms to translate technical and financial information into meaningful business insights.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and support cloud financial reporting and cost management initiatives, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and enhance cloud cost reports, dashboards, service catalogues, and governance processes.
• Use ServiceNow Financial Management modules or similar enterprise platforms to support financial reporting and cloud cost management.
• Partner with cloud engineers, finance teams, and business stakeholders to analyze cloud consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities.
• Provide clear, actionable recommendations that support informed commercial and operational decisions.
• Support the implementation and ongoing management of cloud service catalogues, including service classification, costing, and reporting.

What you’ll bring:

• At least five years of professional experience in Cloud FinOps, cloud cost management, financial reporting or a related cloud infrastructure discipline.
• Demonstrated experience delivering cloud infrastructure financial reporting across AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform will be highly regarded.
• Experience using ServiceNow financial reporting capabilities, cloud cost management tools, or comparable enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.
• Willingness to work all 5 days from our Sydney office.
