Job summary

The Grill at The International, part of The Point group, is seeking an experienced Section Waiter to join our CBD dining team in Sydney. You will deliver warm, knowledgeable service and manage your own section during busy service, with strong wine knowledge and attention to detail.

Ideal candidates have minimum 1 year of section-running experience, excellent guest engagement, and demonstrate teamwork to maintain top-tier service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience running a section in a fine-dining/hatted restaurant
• Strong food, wine, and beverage knowledge
• Confident delivering professional, attentive service in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
• Professional presentation with a strong eye for detail
• Current RSA
• A team-first mindset with a willingness to learn and develop

Responsibilities

• Delivering warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service throughout the guest experience
• Managing your section with confidence and efficiency
• Maintaining venue presentation and service standards
• Working closely with the kitchen, bar, and support teams to ensure smooth service
• Building genuine rapport with guests and anticipating their needs
