Job description

Your role

Corpay is currently looking to hire a capable, hands-on Financial Services Copywriter to join our Global Marketing team. This role carries the formal title of Global Communications & Content Specialist and reports to the Global Content Manager.

This is a writing-intensive role for someone who can take a brief, get to grips with the subject matter, and produce clear, accurate content for different audiences and channels. You will write and edit a broad range of marketing, product, customer and market-facing material. The work is practical and delivery-focused rather than strategic or people-management focused.

This role will suit an intermediate copywriter who already has solid hands-on writing experience and is ready to take on varied, complex subject matter. You will need to be comfortable moving quickly between communication deliverables for a variety of channels including website, sales collateral, thought-leadership, video scripts, email campaigns, social media, newsletters, and so forth. Some projects will require you to turn technical or complex material into accessible copy without losing accuracy. Financial services experience is essential.

How We Work

This is a hybrid role (3-4 days in office, 1-2 days from home) based in either our Melbourne, Australia, Toronto, Canada or London, United Kingdom offices. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

  • Assigned workspace in one of the above locations
  • Company-issued equipment
  • Formal, hands-on training
Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Write and edit content from clear briefs for a wide range of formats, including blog articles, brochures, website and web-page copy, customer and prospecting emails, white papers, case studies, e-books, presentations, product collateral and sales materials.
  • Create scripts and supporting copy for videos, podcasts, webinars, tradeshow invitations, follow-up campaigns, and other events.
  • Develop audience-specific product information and launch materials in partnership with product, marketing, legal, compliance and other internal stakeholders.
  • Support upcoming stablecoin content, including material on Corpay's offering, relevant legislation in launch markets and potential thought-leadership opportunities.
  • Research and write accurate content on financial markets, products, legislation and regulatory topics, including legal and compliance-related subjects such as data security.
  • Adapt the structure, tone and level of detail to suit the subject, channel and intended audience, whether the brief concerns a technical product, industry sector or market topic.
  • Review and refine copy to ensure it is clear, factually accurate, on-brand and consistent with legal and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with marketing colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality content to agreed deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Demonstrated hands-on copywriting and editing experience, ideally gained over 3-5 years in a B2B, financial services or similarly regulated environment.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism or Communications or relevant field.
  • Financial services experience and the confidence to understand financial products, markets, legislation and regulatory concepts quickly.
  • Strong written work that shows you can explain complex topics clearly, accurately and in language that suits the audience.
  • An analytical, detail-focused approach to writing. We are looking for more than creative storytelling: you should enjoy researching a subject, making sense of it and communicating it precisely.
  • Experience writing structured or technical material, such as product documentation, how-to content, technical manuals, policy-related content or other instructional material, would be highly regarded.
  • The ability to switch confidently between subjects and audiences, and to produce a polished draft from a brief without extensive direction.
  • Strong judgement when working with legal, compliance or sensitive product information, and a willingness to ask the right questions when information is unclear.
  • Experience with website and product copy. An understanding of SEO is desirable.
  • Excellent organisation and the ability to manage several briefs and deadlines at once.
  • Proven ability to influence and persuade effectively, to think creatively to deliver solutions that work for stakeholders and the brand.
