RSM Australia is seeking an experienced FP&A leader to establish a Financial Planning and Analytics function, supervising accountants and data analytics staff. This role reports to the Financial Controller and collaborates with senior stakeholders to deliver insightful financial planning and performance analysis.

You will develop budgets, forecasts, and robust financial models, while mentoring the team and driving improvements in reporting processes across the business.

Qualifications

• 3+ years senior management accounting / FP&A experience.
• Proven experience with leading teams and business partnering.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

About the role:

An exciting opportunity to establish a Financial Planning and Analytics function, leading a team of accountants and data analytics staff. This position reports to the Financial Controller and will work closely with the Director of Group Finance and senior stakeholders within the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare management reports in accordance Australian GAAP for Professional Service Firms.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, identify risks and cash flow sensitivities;
• Design, develop and analyse financial models and reports;
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts;
• Identify, research and resolve complex accounting issues;
• Analyse management accounting reports and provide insight and advice to key stakeholders;
• Advise key stakeholders on practical and commercial issues and develop solutions which genuinely add value to the business;
• Develop strong relationships across the business;
• Management, development and mentoring of staff.
• Review and improve business processes;
• Maintain accounting records in accordance with firm policies and procedures including processing of journal entries;
• Share knowledge and best practice to actively increase the overall knowledge of the team;
• Assist with the annual partner profit assessment and oversee the maintenance of supporting financial models and records.
• Assist with other Group Finance activities as and when required.

About you:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Essential

• CA / CPA Qualified (or equivalent)

DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:
