Job summary

Super Retail Group is seeking a commercially minded FP&A professional to join our high-performing finance team. You'll contribute to budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and commercial analysis, working with senior leaders to inform strategic decisions.

Based in Brisbane (Strathpine) or Sydney (Rhodes) with a hybrid model, you’ll collaborate across the business, build strong business partnering capabilities and progress toward senior FP&A roles in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into business insights.
• Experience in retail or similar large-scale, complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning through financial modelling and analysis.
• Analyse business performance, investigate variances and provide actionable insights.
• Prepare reporting packs, dashboards and performance reports to support decision making.
• Maintain financial models and leverage tools such as Excel, Anaplan, SAP and Power BI.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to support commercial and strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning, forecasting and reporting processes.

Ready to take the next step in your FP&A career? Join a high-performing finance team where you'll play a hands-on role in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and commercial analysis. Working closely with senior leaders across the business, you'll gain exposure to strategic decision-making, develop your business partnering capabilities, and build the commercial acumen needed to progress into more senior FP&A and finance partnering roles.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting– Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning through financial modelling and analysis.
• Financial Performance Analysis – Analyse business performance, investigate variances and provide actionable insights.
• Reporting & Commercial Insights – Prepare reporting packs, dashboards and performance reports to support decision-making.
• Financial Modelling & Systems – Maintain financial models and leverage tools such as Excel, Anaplan, SAP and Power BI.
• Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement – Partner with stakeholders across the business to support commercial and strategic initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to improve planning, forecasting and reporting processes.

About you

We are seeking an analytical and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys turning data into meaningful business insights. You have experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, reporting and performance analysis, and are looking to further develop your commercial acumen and business partnering skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

With a growth mindset, you are enthusiastic, adaptable and eager to learn, and have a genuine interest in developing your FP&A and business partnering career.

In addition, you have:

• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis. Exposure to Anaplan, SAP, Power BI or similar tools will be highly regarded.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to analyse data, identify trends and provide insights that support informed business decisions.
• Experience working in retail or a similar industry within a large-scale, complex business environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with stakeholders across the business.
• A proactive approach to improving processes, leveraging technology and driving efficiencies.
• Desirable: CA, CPA, CIMA, ACA (or equivalent) qualification, or currently working towards completion.
