Job summary

Ritchie Consulting Group is seeking a qualified accountant to lead statutory and tax compliance for a private, family-oriented cattle business in Toowoomba. You will manage BAS, GST, FBT and payroll tax while ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting.

The role covers payroll, banking, asset management and supplier reconciliations, with a strong emphasis on technical accounting and timely financial commentary.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting or commerce.
• CA/CPA or equivalent membership.
• Extensive experience as a small business company accountant.
• Strong technical accounting competency with knowledge of standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax, workers compensation and income tax returns.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPI commentary/variance analysis).
• Oversee payroll function.
• Lead banking functions and bank reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receipts reconciliations.
• Oversee fixed asset register, disposals, additions and tax treatment of assets.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding balances.
