Job summary

Royal Far West is seeking a Financial Controller to lead its core finance function in New South Wales. This hands‑on leadership role will own statutory and management reporting, payroll, grant compliance and budget cycles, while driving improvements across finance processes and systems.

You will lead a small team, ensure robust controls, and collaborate with the Strategic Finance Partner to support government and philanthropic funding proposals.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or finance.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience leading a finance function independently.

Responsibilities

• Own statutory and management reporting, audit, payroll and transactional oversight.
• Oversee grant and funding compliance and budgets/forecasts.
• Drive finance systems improvements and process optimization.
• Collaborate with Strategic Finance Partner to support proposals and governance.
• Lead and develop a small finance team with a hands‑on leadership style.
