Responsibilities

• Prepare regular financial and business performance reports for the head office in Japan.
• Analyse financial results, budgets, forecasts, KPIs and business performance.
• Prepare reports, presentations and financial analysis for senior management.
• Work closely with management and portfolio companies to gather and analyse financial and operational information.
• Conduct market, industry and competitor research.
• Research and identify potential M&A and investment opportunities in Australia.
• Assist with financial modelling and other analysis related to potential investments and acquisitions.
• Support broader strategic, financial and business projects as required.
• Liaise with stakeholders in both Australia and Japan.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in financial analysis, management reporting, corporate planning, M&A, corporate development, accounting, consulting, or a similar role
• Experience preparing financial or management reports will be highly regarded
• Good understanding of financial statements, budgets and business performance
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong research and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a growing business environment
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent Japanese and English language skills, both written and spoken

Experience in M&A, post-merger integration, financial modelling or investment analysis would be highly regarded.
