Job summary

Spinifex Recruiting is seeking an experienced Finance Analyst for a site-based, 12-month contract within the mining industry. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting and financial analysis across the operation.

You will work closely with the Finance team and operational stakeholders to provide insights and support governance, reporting and ad-hoc financial needs.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience with month-end reporting and financial analysis.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Mining or heavy industry experience preferred.

12-Month Contract | 5/2 Roster | 10-Hour Days

We are seeking an experienced Finance Analyst to join our client's Finance team on a temporary 12-month opportunity.

This is a site-based role, supporting the operation across budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting and financial analysis.

About the Role

You will work closely with the Finance team and key operational stakeholders to:

• Support annual budgeting and monthly and quarterly forecasting
• Assist with month-end processes, cost reporting and capital analysis
• Analyse financial performance and variations against budget and forecast
• Provide financial insights and reporting to support business decisions
• Support governance, reporting and ad-hoc financial requirements
• Work collaboratively with Finance, operational and leadership teams

About You

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• A degree or qualification inAccounting or Finance.
• Previous experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Experience with month-end reporting and financial analysis
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Mining or heavy industry experience will be highly regarded

Contract Details

• 12-month temporary contract, anticipated to run from October 2026 to September 2027
• Potential for an earlier start depending on availability
• Potential for extension beyond September 2027, subject to business requirements
• 5/2 roster | 10-hour days
