Job summary

Zurich Australia is seeking a Finance Analysis Manager to lead end-to-end month-end close, deliver accurate reporting and forward-looking planning for the Australian business.

You will collaborate with senior leaders across Finance and the broader organisation to support cost management, reporting improvements, and finance transformation with automation and AI.

Qualifications

• Must have CPA/CA or equivalent qualification.
• At least seven years post-qualification experience, preferably in financial services.
• Five+ years of practical experience in FP&A, financial reporting and management reporting.
• Experience with SAP GL and advanced Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and deliver accurate local and Group reporting across Zurich Australia entities.
• Provide expense reporting, analysis and insights to identify risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate forecasting, budgeting and annual planning activities with allocated expense models.
• Partner with business leaders to present results, forecasts and plans for decision-making.
• Track strategic initiatives and efficiency outcomes against plans and targets.
• Improve finance processes by embedding automation, AI and digital tools.

As a Finance Analysis Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, meaningful expense insights and forward-looking planning across Zurich Australia. You will oversee the end-to-end month-end close and reporting processes, helping leaders make well-informed decisions and maintain clear visibility of financial performance.

Working closely with senior leaders and teams across Finance and the broader business, you will support strong cost management, improve reporting processes and help advance our finance transformation. You will also be responsible for the following:

• Leading month-end close and deliver accurate local and Group reporting across Zurich Australia entities
• Providing expense reporting, analysis and insights that identify risks, opportunities and emerging performance trends
• Coordinating forecasting, budgeting and annual planning activities, including allocated expense models
• Partnering with business leaders to prepare and present results, forecasts and plans that support sound decision-making
• Tracking strategic initiatives, productivity measures and efficiency outcomes against agreed plans and targets
• Improving finance processes by reducing manual activity and embedding automation, AI and digital tools where appropriate

You are a commercially minded finance professional who brings curiosity, sound judgement and a continuous improvement mindset. You build trusted relationships, communicate complex information clearly and work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.

To be successful, you will have the following:

• A CPA, CA or equivalent qualification, with at least seven years of post-qualification experience, preferably within financial services.
• At least five years of practical experience in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting and management reporting.
• Strong accounting knowledge, with an understanding of life insurance or the broader insurance industry.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capability and experience using SAP general ledger systems.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial information into clear and practical insights.
• Experience in a Big Four professional services environment will be highly regarded
