Job summary

Godfrey Group Recruitment is partnering with a boutique insurance advice practice in North Sydney to appoint a Financial Planner early in their career. The role focuses on servicing an existing book while contributing to organic growth, with exposure to both mass affluent and high net-worth clients.

You will work alongside a Partner, access seasoned industry expertise, and participate in growth initiatives within a boutique environment across NSW offices.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in financial planning.
• Strong ability to develop relationships with clients, staff and referral partners.
• Confident and ready to take on clients.
• Solid communication skills in all forms.
• Experience with AdviserLogic software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent quality advice and service to new and existing clients.
• Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners, staff and clients.
• Assist with development of complex advice strategies and recommendations.
• Assist with advice document preparation as required.
• Be an active team member and contribute ideas for growth.
• Attend new and existing client meetings with HNW accumulators and retirees.
• Attend events and travel to other NSW offices.

The Business

Our client is a specialised insurance advice boutique with a strategic financial planning service line. Based in a well-resourced North Sydney office with offshore support, they also service a client base in Newcastle.

The Opportunity

The firm is seeking a Financial Planner early in their career to service an existing book of clients while contributing to the organic growth of the business. As a self-licenced practice, you will have exposure to a range of complexities with both mass affluent and high net-worth clients. Working alongside a Partner of the business, you will have direct access to an experienced industry veteran. In addition to the diversity in clients in various stages of their wealth accumulation and retirement, this is a career accelerator within a boutique environment.

The Role

• Provide consistent quality advice and service to both new and existing clients
• Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners, other staff members and clients
• Assist with the development of complex advice strategies and recommendations
• Assist with advice document preparation as required
• Be an active team member and contribute your ideas in the growth phase of this business
• Attend new and existing client meetings - HNW accumulators, retirees/pre-retiree’s etc.
• Attend events, travel to other NSW offices

About You

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial planning
• Ability to develop strong relationships with clients, fellow staff and other professionals including referral partners of the business
• Confident and ready to take on clients
• FASEA Qualified
• Tertiary Degree in a related field (e.g., Commerce or Business)
• Excellent communications skills in all forms
• Sound working knowledge and understanding of AdviserLogic software
