Job summary

Simon & Schuster Australia is seeking a Financial Accountant to join the Finance team. The role supports monthly reporting, handles AP/AR processes, and manages revenues for eBooks and audiobooks while maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.

You will work with editorial and regional teams, assist budgets and forecasts, and contribute to strengthening financial controls. A proactive, detail‑oriented approach with strong communication skills is essential.

Qualifications

• CPA/CA qualified or working towards is required or desirable.
• Experience in Finance teams within industry preferable.
• Media/ Publishing industry exposure is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of monthly P&L and balance sheet.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Process eBook and Audiobook revenues and perform reconciliations.
