Job summary

Simon & Schuster Australia is seeking a Head of Editorial Operations to join the Adult Editorial team in Sydney. This key leadership role will oversee people, systems and processes behind our publishing programme, reporting to the Managing Director and ensuring a commercially focused, efficient operation.

The role requires leading a centralised editorial workflow, managing the critical path, budgets, and ensuring high editorial quality across a varied list of titles.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the publishing lifecycle and editorial operations.
• Experience leading a project-editorial team across fiction and non-fiction lists.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, freelancers, and external suppliers.
