Job summary

Talent Web is seeking a Financial Accountant to join a rapidly scaling business in NSW, Australia. Working with the Financial Controller, you will examine core finance processes from source transactions through to balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting and audit evidence.

This is a newly created role on an initial contract with a genuine pathway to permanent employment and progression. It is ideal for a curious, process-driven professional from a business services background who

Qualifications

• Experience across financial accounting, month-end, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Strong process-improvement, analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work through detailed accounting processes while maintaining an end-to-end view.
• Confident partnering with stakeholders and translating issues into practical solutions.
• Hands-on approach and adaptability in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing financial control processes from transaction initiation through to reporting and audit
• Identifying inefficiencies, duplicated effort, control gaps and opportunities for simplification
• Supporting journals, reconciliations, month-end reporting and other hands-on accounting activities
• Documenting existing processes and designing stronger, more scalable ways of working
• Partnering with finance stakeholders to implement improvements and embed lasting change
• Improving the quality, consistency and accessibility of reporting and audit evidence
