Job summary

Heritage Lifecare is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Commercial Finance team in Wellington. You will support monthly and annual reporting, maintain balance sheet discipline and contribute to an efficient month-end close.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant to gain broad exposure across financial reporting, audit, balance sheet management and capital expenditure accounting within a large national organisation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CA qualification (CAANZ) or equivalent.
• Experience in Big 4, professional services or large corporate.
• Strong financial accounting knowledge and month-end experience.
• Comfort with journals, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly and annual reporting processes and audits.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity and key accounting processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate finance processes.
• Work with Finance Manager and Senior Financial Accountant to close books.
