Job summary

YETI Australia Proprietary Limited is seeking a Financial Accountant who will independently manage core accounting activities for assigned entities, ensuring timely month‑end close, accurate reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.

You will partner with FP&A, Operations, and Tax to drive improvements, prepare journals and reconciliations, support audits, and communicate insights with clarity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive experience in financial accounting, audit, or related roles.
• Knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP and/or IFRS).
• Experience supporting month-end close processes.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification (or in progress).
• Exposure to inventory, revenue recognition, or cost accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute month-end and year-end close activities for assigned entities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial results in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS and policy.
• Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reporting.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, Tax, and Technology to achieve accurate outcomes.
• Identify control gaps and support audits with documentation and explanations.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automate processes.
