Job summary

Caraway Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Financial Accountant ANZ to manage reporting for Australia and New Zealand, strengthening controls and partnering with stakeholders. The role focuses on statutory reporting, US GAAP close activities, inventory governance and timely, accurate close processes.

You will drive improvements to simplify and automate finance activities while maintaining a strong control environment, with hybrid work in Macquarie Park and related sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with CA/CPA ongoing or completed.
• Experience in financial reporting, close processes and statutory reporting.
• Experience with SAP or an ERP system and strong Excel capability.
• Ability to work across Australia and New Zealand entities with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate audit deliverables.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end and year-end activities including journals and accruals.
• Review results for accuracy and provide variance commentary.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and addressing reconciling items.
• Review inventory movements, cost adjustments and stocktake entries.
• Monitor receivables, aging and working capital drivers.
• Support government subsidy reporting and customer eligibility assessments.
• Provide accounting and control advice with stakeholders across functions.
• Lead process improvement to simplify, standardise and automate finance activities.
