Merck is seeking an Accountant ANZ to support accurate financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls across Australia and New Zealand. The role involves working across statutory reporting, audits and data analytics in a dynamic environment.

You will engage in activities from tax calculations to financial statement preparation, with opportunities to streamline processes and enhance controls within a global animal health organisation.

Competenze

• Bachelor level degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
• CA/CPA or equivalent qualification completed or in progress.
• Experience in a complex or multinational organisation preferred.
• Solid knowledge of financial reporting principles and month-end close.
• SAP or comparable ERP experience; strong Excel skills.
• Exposure to Power Query/Power BI and finance automation desirable.

Mansioni

• Prepare tax, GST, and transfer pricing calculations and documentation.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and support external audits.
• Coordinate fixed asset and intercompany activities.
• Perform control procedures and update control documentation.
• Collaborate with Tax, Finance, and commercial teams to improve compliance.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate recurring finance processes.
