Job summary

RSK Group Australia is recruiting a Financial Accountant to support accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting across RSK owned businesses. This is a full time, hybrid role based at the Head Office in Sydney.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, solid accounting knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, external advisors and the UK finance team.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of experience in financial accounting, including ledgers, reporting and analyses.
• CPA or CA qualification, or actively pursuing professional accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly financial reports in accordance with accounting standards and internal requirements.
• Maintain general ledgers across multiple RSK businesses, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
• Prepare P&L statements, balance sheets and supporting schedules for RSK entities.
• Prepare intercompany, balance sheet, month-end and year-end reconciliations; investigate reconciling items.
• Produce ad hoc financial reports and information requests for management as needed.
• Prepare and process monthly journals; maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Process supplier and client invoices, expense claims and related payments.
• Provide timely information to external tax advisors, auditors and other professionals.
• Update daily bank balance reporting for the UK finance team.

RSK Australia are recruiting for aFinancial Accountant to help supportthe delivery of accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting across RSK owned businesses.

This is a full time,hybrid rolebased at the Head Office in Sydney.

The role reports to the Head of Finance and the ideal candidate will requirestrong attention to detail, sound technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to work professionally and collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external advisors and the UK finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of accurate monthly financial reports in accordance with Accounting Standards and internal reporting requirements.
• Maintain general ledgers across multiple RSK businesses, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
• Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets and supporting schedules for RSK businesses.
• Prepare intercompany, balance sheet, month-end and year-end reconciliations, ensuring reconciling items are investigated and resolved promptly.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports, analysis and information requests for management as required.
• Prepare and process monthly journals, maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Process supplier and client invoices, expense claims, and related supplier and expense claim payments.
• Provide accurate and timely information to external tax advisors, auditors and other professional advisors
• Update daily bank balance reporting for the UK finance team.

Person Specification:

• Minimum four years’ relevant experience in financial accounting, including general ledger maintenance, reporting, reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CPA or CA qualification, or currently studying towards professional accreditation.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems in a multi-entity environment.
• Demonstrated analytical capability, including the ability to identify, investigate and resolve financial reporting issues
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and month-end reporting requirements.
