Michael Page Australia is seeking a junior accountant to join our finance team. You will work on monthly management reports, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, with exposure to audits and compliance. The role offers CPA study support and mentorship from experienced leaders to accelerate your development.

You will partner with operational stakeholders and contribute to process improvements, while building a long-term accounting career in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Begin CPA or plan to start CPA shortly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports and financial analysis.

Job Description

You'll play a key role in the finance team, with responsibilities including:

• Preparing monthly management reports and financial analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end activities
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Assisting with audit and compliance requirements
• Working closely with operational stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting
• Supporting decision-making through accurate financial insights

The Successful Applicant

• Have commenced their CPA (or are planning to shortly)
• Bring 2-4 years' accounting experience
• Love problem solving and working with numbers
• Have strong Excel skills
• Are naturally curious and eager to learn
• Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team
