Job summary

Shepparton Express is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant based at our head office in Shepparton, reporting to the Group CFO. You will manage month-end and year-end accounts for multiple entities, perform reconciliations, and ensure compliance with BAS and IAS while supporting budgeting and forecasting.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years’ accounting experience, proficiency in Xero and Excel, and the ability to manage deadlines across entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting or business with accounting major.
• 1–2 years' experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong reconciliation and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel.

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. Based at our head office in Shepparton and reporting to the Group CFO, you will play a key role in ensuring the accounting function for the Sfetco Group run efficiently at all times.

What you'll do

• Prepare month-end and year-end accounts for Group's entities
• Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations, including inter entity transactions
• Prepare BAS, IAS and other compliance obligations
• Prepare management reports and support budgeting and forecasting
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
• Support the Group CFO with ad hoc analysis and projects

What you'll need

• Bachelor of Accounting or Business (Accounting major)
• At least 1-2 years' experience in an accounting or finance role
• Strong reconciliation and attention-to-detail skills
• Good working knowledge of Xero and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage deadlines across multiple entities
• Clear communication skills and a team-focused approach
• Full working rights in Australia
• Experience with group or multi-entity accounting
• CA or CPA qualified, or working towards it

Hours

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, in our Shepparton office.
