Job summary

Loam Bio is seeking a Finance Transformation & Systems Manager to design, implement, and continuously improve our finance systems, automation environment, data architecture and finance processes. The role focuses on transforming the Finance function through technology, AI, process redesign and better system integration, reducing manual work and improving data quality.

The position is transformation-, systems- and project-based, with onsite base in Sydney and open to part-time or full-time

Qualifications

• Substantial accounting, Finance transformation or financial systems experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial controls.
• Experience designing or implementing Finance technology solutions.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability.
• Experience implementing automation, AI or data-driven Finance processes.
• Strong project management capability.
• Experience working across multiple Finance and operational systems.
• Strong process-design and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Finance transformation: develop and implement the transformation roadmap with the CFO.
• AI and automation: design and implement AI-assisted workflows and automated processes.
• Finance systems architecture: review and design an integrated finance tech strategy.
• Data and reporting infrastructure: design scalable data structures and automated data flows.
• Financial modelling and decision support: build models and scenario analyses.
• Internal controls and process design: design controls and governance for automated processes.
• Transformation project management: lead projects, plan, schedule, and coordinate vendors and stakeholders.
• Business partnering: translate financial information needs into technology solutions for management.
