Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking a seasoned CFO Advisory professional to lead finance transformation projects and accounting advisory engagements across diverse clients in Sydney. You will partner with senior leaders to optimise finance functions, enhance reporting, and drive operational efficiency.

The role requires 5–8 years' experience in accounting/finance within professional services or commerce, with a proven track record in transformation, automation, and advisory services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in accounting, commerce or finance.
• CA qualification or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5-8 years' experience accounting or finance in professional services or commerce with leadership experience.
• Finance transformation and automation, reporting tools automation, financial reporting, management accounting, data extraction, project management and accounting advisory experience.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver finance function transformation and accounting advisory projects across a range of clients with process optimisation and outcomes.
• Develop self and team through coaching and client experience, fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration and project management, report writing and use of technology in delivering projects.
• Build strong relationships with clients and across the firm as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development including priority account planning, new offerings, thought leadership and proposals.
• Assist with coordination of the CFO Advisory Services team including resourcing, training and internal relationships.
