Job summary

City of Adelaide is seeking a Team Leader, Finance Business Partnering to lead a team of Finance Business Partners and Analysts delivering trusted financial advice across the organisation.

You will oversee planning, forecasting, management accounting and reporting for Directors and Portfolios, support business cases and council reports, and foster a high-performance team culture under the Manager, Financial Planning & Reporting.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce or Accounting or related field.
• CA or CPA professional qualification.
• Ability to lead and provide direction to direct reports and where appropriate, the broader team.
• Significant senior accounting experience incorporating analysis and problem-solving principles within a medium to large organisation.
• Significant working knowledge of accounting and business disciplines including, but not limited to, management and cost accounting, statutory reporting, complex budget development and financial management system improvements.
• Highly developed project and consultant management skills which underpin the timely development of strategies, projects and programs and assist in cross functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Finance Business Partners and Finance Analysts.
• Oversee financial planning, forecasting, management accounting and reporting activities.
• Provide trusted financial advice to Directors and Portfolios.
• Assist with annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, business cases, projects and Council reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen financial capability across the organisation.
