Job summary

The Perigon Group is seeking a Systems Accountant to join a well-established organisation in Brisbane on an initial 6 month contract, with the potential for extension. This role blends accounting knowledge with systems, reporting and process improvement to boost Finance team efficiency.

You will maintain, support and improve finance systems, work with Finance and IT to identify enhancements, and contribute to month end processes and financial reporting with data integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• Completed or studying CPA/CA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting, maintaining or improving finance systems.
• Exposure to system implementations, upgrades, testing or process improvement projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication with Finance and IT stakeholders.
• Attention to detail with data accuracy and system integrity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, support and improve finance systems to meet business requirements.
• Work with Finance and IT to implement system improvements.
• Review finance processes to improve efficiency and automation.
• Assist with system upgrades, testing and troubleshooting.
• Support month end processes, reporting and data integrity across finance systems.
• Investigate system issues with stakeholders and vendors.
• Document system processes, controls and procedures.
• Assist with finance projects and system enhancements.
