Noosa Council is seeking a proactive finance professional to support banking, taxation, accounts payable, grants administration and financial reporting. This role emphasizes accuracy, stakeholder collaboration and continuous improvement within the Corporate Services team.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering financial administration or accounting services, incl. AP, banking, taxation or related finance functions.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial controls and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy.
• Proficiency in financial systems, spreadsheets and reporting tools, ensuring data integrity.

Responsabilités

• Deliver accurate and compliant financial services across banking, taxation, accounts payable, grants, purchase cards and financial reporting activities.
• Maintain integrity of financial records through reconciliations, journals, variance analysis and controls.
• Investigate and resolve financial, system and process issues with practical stakeholder advice and support.
• Contribute to financial compliance, audits, system improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
