Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Process Optimisation Specialist to modernise finance operations and drive sustainable improvements across the Finance function. You will work with the Financial Controller to understand current processes, identify simplifications, and implement practical, scalable solutions.

The role focuses on end‑to‑end process understanding, automation opportunities and cross‑functional collaboration, with a view to supporting broader finance transformation initiatives over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline
• CPA or equivalent professional qualification in progress
• Strong experience in aged care billing, revenue management and finance operations
• Previous experience delivering finance process improvement or transformation initiatives
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify opportunities for operational efficiency

Responsibilities

• Analyse and optimise finance processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and performance
• Identify and implement automation opportunities across financial workflows and reporting processes
• Support finance transformation projects, system enhancements and process improvement initiatives
• Identify opportunities to standardise, automate or eliminate manual activities using existing systems, Excel, Power Query, workflow tools, reconciliation technology and AI‑enabled finance tools
• Develop and document best‑practice financial processes, controls and operating procedures
• Partner with stakeholders to support change management, training and adoption of new ways of working
