Job summary

University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland seeks a Finance Business Partner to join the Financial Services team. You will partner with senior leaders to support financial planning, performance and compliance, translating complex data into clear insights and enabling strategic decision-making.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling, deliver council-ready reporting and help manage externally funded grants while driving improvements across financial systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and analysing high-level financial reports.
• Experience supporting the financial management of projects and externally funded grants.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review and improve financial processes.
• High-level capability in financial systems and tools, including advanced Excel skills and enterprise finance systems.
• The ability to clearly explain financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
• Strong relationship management skills and a collaborative working style.
• Experience with TechnologyOne CiA or business analytics and reporting tools.
• Experience working in the higher education sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for client groups to support planning and performance.
• Deliver budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and reporting, including executive- and Council-level outputs.
• Support the financial management and compliance of externally funded grants, agreements and projects.
• Improve financial systems, processes and reporting capability through continuous improvement and collaboration.
