ThompsonCook in Australia seeks an experienced Finance Operations Manager to lead a distributed finance team across three manufacturing sites and partner with Operations to drive performance.

You will own budgeting, forecasting, cost control and financial analysis to support operational decisions in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Formación

• CPA/CA qualification is required or in progress.
• Several years of experience in site accounting, ideally overseeing multiple sites.
• Strong leadership and the ability to influence key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, coach and develop a distributed team of site-based finance business partners and cost accountants, setting clear expectations and reporting standards across the network.
• Foster a culture of cost consciousness, continuous improvement and financial discipline across the manufacturing business.
• Build the financial capability of non-finance operational leaders through training, tools and coaching.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify, quantify and track cost-out and productivity initiatives across the plant network.
• Provide financial analysis and challenge on overheads, labour costs, energy and other site costs.
• Analyse plant-level gross margin, contribution and unit economics, and explain variances.
• Act as trusted finance business partner to Operation Manager to support operational decisions.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes for the network in partnership with site finance.

The Challenge

Reporting to the GM Finance your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead, coach and develop a distributed team of site-based finance business partners and cost accountants, setting clear expectations and a consistent standard of reporting and analysisacross the network.
• Foster a culture of cost consciousness, continuous improvement and financial discipline across
  the manufacturing business.
• Build the financial capability of non-finance operational leaders (Site Managers, Operations Managers, Production Supervisors) through training, tools and ongoing coaching.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain leaders to identify, quantify and track cost-out and
  productivity initiatives across the plant network.
• Provide financial analysis and challenge on manufacturing overheads, labour costs, energy and consumables spend, and other site operating costs.
• Analyse and report on plant-level gross margin, contribution and unit economics, identifying drivers of variance to budget and prior periods.
• Act as the trusted finance business partner to Operation Manager, providing insight and challenge that supports better operational decision-making.
• Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting (rolling forecast/latest estimate) processes for the manufacturing network, in partnership with site finance and operational leaders.

The Expertise
