Job summary

Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking a Financial Operations Manager to lead our financial operations and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and best-practice financial management.

You will collaborate with senior leaders across the organisation to oversee annual financial reporting, budgeting, long-term planning, audits and governance, driving continuous improvement and strengthening financial controls for the Bundaberg Region.

Qualifications

• Ter­tiary qualifications in Business, Accounting or Commerce.
• Extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting and audit management.
• Experience with financial governance and Australian Accounting Standards.
• Proven ability to lead long-term financial planning in local government.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory skills.
• Postgraduate qualifications (CPA/CA) or ability to obtain highly regarded.
