Job summary

Richard Lloyd Accounting Recruitment is handling a Finance Officer role with a growing legal firm in Sydney. You will work within a supportive team and be mentored by a strong Head of Finance as the business grows.

The role covers broad Finance functions, including AP, AR, trust account activity, matter reconciliations and reporting. Hybrid working is available after probation, with parking and a friendly culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional services firm, preferably a legal firm.
• Degree-qualified or TAFE-qualified.
• A forward-thinking mindset with an eye for process improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-focused with strong attention to detail.
• Desire to develop and grow the role over time.

Responsibilities

• Full-function AP.
• Full-function AR including billing.
• Trust account receipting and payments.
• Matter reconciliations.
• Matter balance reports.
• Ad hoc requests and questions.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this Finance Officer role will be broad and will include (but not be limited to):

• Full-function AP

• Full-function AR including billing

• Trust account receipting & payments

• Matter reconciliations

• Matter balance reports

• Ad hoc requests and questions

Your Background

To be considered for this Finance Officer role, you will need to meet a majority of the following criteria:

• Experience in a professional services firm with a strong preference for experience in a legal firm

• Be degree-qualified or TAFE-qualified

• A forward-thinking mindset with an eye for making process improvements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A team-focused mentality with excellent attention to detail

• An inquisitive mind with a desire to develop your skills and grow your role in time
