Job summary

Harbourside Port Stephens is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable specialist to ensure accurate claims, billing, and reconciliations across Support at Home, the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and private streams. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in finance, billing or an Accounts Receivable role, preferably within aged care or health sectors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely submission of claims and billing.
• Perform reconciliations and reporting across Support at Home, CHSP and private streams.
• Demonstrate proficiency with financial systems and Excel; learn new platforms as needed.
• Explain billing variances and processes clearly to colleagues and stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with funding obligations in a heavily regulated environment.

About the role

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timely submission of claims, billing, reconciliations and reporting across Support at Home, the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and private client streams. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in finance, billing or an Accounts Receivable role, preferably within the aged care, community services, home care or health industries. Strong proficiency with financial systems and spreadsheets (Excel) is required, and experience with Epicor is desirable but not essential. The ability to quickly learn new systems and software (eg: home care management platforms) will be well regarded.
