Job summary

Economic Development Queensland is seeking a Finance Officer to join the Finance & Digital division in Brisbane. You will support core financial processes including AP/AR, journals, prepayments and reconciliations while contributing to process improvements.

This role offers a permanent opportunity, a collaborative team, and opportunities to work through the SAP ECC6 to SAP/4HANA transition over the next 12 months, with emphasis on accuracy, compliance and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Foundational finance knowledge or experience in financial administration, purchasing, invoicing or bookkeeping desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and financial data handling.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable, journals, prepayments, accruals, reconciliations and purchase orders.
• Maintain records for bank guarantees and other securities, coordinate receipts/returns.
• Assist with corporate card reconciliations and cost centre management.
• Support month-end activities and respond to finance inquiries with timely, high-quality support.
