Job summary

Victoria Police, North West Metro Region, is seeking a Finance Officer (VPSG2.2) to join the Financial Services team. The role is full-time and ongoing, based at the Victoria Police Centre in Docklands, with flexibility on working arrangements.

You will undertake purchasing, process invoices, coordinate travel, and prepare financial reports while liaising with internal and external clients. Strong attention to detail, solid Excel/Oracle skills, and-the ability to work independently and in a team

About the role: The North West Metro Region Finance Team is currently seeking to appoint a Finance Officer to join their busy team. Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.

Duties
  • Undertake end-to-end purchasing and procurement activities and provide support to internal stakeholders.
  • Process invoice payments.
  • Coordinate & book travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Process personal expense claims.
  • Assist with auditing and asset administration activities.
  • Generate, interpret, and undertake basic analysis of financial reports.

Requirements and relevant information

One (1) VPSG2.2 full time on-going position available.

The position is located at the Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.

While this position will have a nominated usual place of work, the position will be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or Visa.

The successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.

Successful candidates will be required to possess a current Victorian Driver Licence and hold or qualify for an appropriate Victoria Police driving authority within three (3) months.
