Job summary

PDR Insurance Agency, LLC is seeking a Finance Manager based in Sydney to oversee the local finance function of a growing international clean energy technology business. You will manage day-to-day finance operations and provide reporting, analysis and insights to support business decisions.

This role suits someone who enjoys working independently and balancing operational accounting with broader financial planning and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA or CA qualified, or actively working towards qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, finance or commercial finance.
• Hands-on experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and month-end close.
• Experience preparing management reports, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
• Understanding of Australian accounting, tax and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience working with external accountants, auditors and tax advisers.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query and financial modelling.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments, customer invoicing and collections.
• Process payroll and manage employee expense claims and corporate credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and reporting packs for management and headquarters.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections, and analyse business performance.
• Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisers, auditors and payroll providers on compliance and reporting requirements.
• Support BAS, GST, PAYG, payroll tax and other relevant statutory reporting.
• Develop and improve finance policies, controls, approval workflows and reporting processes.
• Support the implementation or optimisation of accounting and finance systems.
• Provide financial insights, modelling and analysis to support management decisions and business growth.

Education
