Job summary

BDO is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the financial accounting team, oversee monthly and year-end closes, and provide strategic financial insights. This role focuses on governance, compliance, and partnering with stakeholders to drive business outcomes.

You will mentor accountants, drive process improvements, and collaborate with the Finance Controller, CFO, and wider team on key projects. Strong communication and governance are essential.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified with at least 5 years of experience in a financial accounting role
• Demonstrated experience in leading month-end and year-end close processes
• Experience in process improvement, especially month-end
• Experience liaising with senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of the financial accounting team
• Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements (income statements, balance sheets)
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes including reconciliations and accruals
• Oversee audit process and preparation of annual financial statements and notes
• Lead process improvements and leverage technology to increase efficiency
