Job summary

Lucent Advisory is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee a portfolio of client organisations, with a strong focus on not-for-profit work. You will lead day-to-day finance, drive month-end delivery, budgets and audits, and manage a junior team within a flexible, collaborative environment.

You will design better processes, implement cloud tools, and build trusted relationships with client senior stakeholders while delivering accurate reporting and proactive advisory support.

Qualifications

• Own day-to-day finance for a portfolio of client organisations.
• Lead month-end close, budgeting, forecasting and audits.
• Coach and supervise junior accountants.
• Design better processes and system reporting.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Not-for-profit sector experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day finance relationship for a portfolio of clients.
• Lead month-end close and management reporting.
• Oversee AP/AR, bank reconciliations and payroll interfaces.
• Plan budgets, rolling forecasts and cash flow.
• Coordinate year-end audits with stakeholders.
• Coach junior accountants and review work.
• Onboard new clients and design fit-for-purpose finance processes.
• Set up and optimise Xero and connected tools.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve processes.
• Collaborate with virtual CFOs and payroll/tax teams.
