Richard Lloyd Accounting Recruitment has partnered with a founder-led Australian technology business to recruit a hands-on Finance Manager / Senior Accountant. You will own month-end close, financial reporting and drive finance transformation across the function.

Working with a small team, you will lead process improvements, leverage OCR/automation/AI to boost efficiency, manage working capital and revenue recognition across technology projects and contracts, and partner with FP&A for meaningful

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification is required.
• Proven people leadership experience (managing staff).
• Strong month-end and financial reporting experience.
• Track record of improvements/projects/achievements in finance.
• Comfortable in a changing business environment, not rigid.
• AASB 15 exposure or revenue recognition experience is highly desirable.

The Role

• Own month-end close and financial reporting, delivering accurate results within deadlines

• Lead and develop a small team of accounting professionals with the support of the Financial Controller.

• Drive process improvement and finance transformation: streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and lift the quality of reporting

• Leverage technology (OCR/automation/AI) to improve finance operations

• Partner with FP&A to provide meaningful reporting, insights and decision support

• Oversee AR and working capital, building on some of the key automations that have been initiated.

• Support revenue recognition across technology projects, service/maintenance contracts and other revenue streams
