Job summary

Lyra Technology Group is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to own the finance function for All IT Services in Brookvale, Sydney. You will report to the CEO, lead month-end/year-end close, and provide strategic financial insights to drive growth and performance.

The role focuses on transitioning from Xero to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, while streamlining finance processes, controls and governance across the business. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in financial accounting or senior finance roles.
• CA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with Xero and Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Experience with ERP data migration, COA mapping, testing and cutover.
• Strong month-end and year-end close experience (accruals, prepayments, reconciliations).
• Experience with BAS/GST, PAYG, payroll tax, FBT in Australia.
• Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivots, modelling).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function including month-end and year-end close, reporting, reconciliations and compliance.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow with CEO and SLT commentary.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning; variance analysis.
• Oversee AP/AR, payroll, banking, billing, collections and supplier payments.
• Manage tax and statutory obligations and year-end requirements.
• Drive transition from Xero to Dynamics 365 BC (migration, testing, cutover).
• Partner with business leaders on commercial analysis, pricing and process improvements.

About The Position

One of our Operating Companies, All IT Services is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team in Brookvale, Sydney.

We are looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function and play a key role in supporting the continued growth and performance of the organisation.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the finance function, provide trusted commercial advice to senior leadership, and drive continuous improvement across financial reporting, systems, controls and processes.

A key focus of the role will be supporting the transition from Xero to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, while continuing to improve and streamline finance processes across the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, including month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations and compliance.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting, providing clear insights and commentary to the CEO and SLT.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning, including budget vs actual analysis and commercial performance reporting.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations including AP, AR, payroll, banking, billing, collections and supplier payments.
• Manage tax and statutory obligations including BAS/GST, PAYG, payroll tax, FBT and year-end requirements.
• Lead the transition from Xero to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including migration, testing, cutover and ongoing system improvements.
• Partner with business leaders on commercial analysis, pricing, profitability and process improvement, while maintaining strong financial controls and governance

Skills Required

• Minimum 5 years' experience in financial accounting, finance management or a similar senior finance role.
• CA qualification or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Strong hands-on experience with Xero, with experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or the ability to learn it quickly.
• Experience with finance system or ERP migration, including data migration, chart of accounts, testing, cutover and parallel running.
• Strong experience managing the full month-end and year-end close, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
• Proven experience preparing monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reports with clear commentary for senior leadership.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning experience.
• Experience managing Australian compliance requirements including BAS/GST, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and FBT.
• Experience processing or overseeing payroll, including awards, leave and STP reporting.
• Experience managing accounts receivable and payable, including collections, supplier payments and approval controls.
• Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables and financial modelling.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, approvals and segregation of duties.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
