Job summary

Keystone People Solutions Pty Ltd in Perth is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to own the numbers end-to-end in a broad, on-site role based in Kewdale. You’ll lead month-end, budgeting and cash flow, with clear commentary for the leadership team and collaboration with a part-time Accounts Officer.

The successful candidate will bring a degree in accounting/finance, 5+ years in a hands-on finance role, strong analytical skills and experience with BAS, PAYG, payroll tax and FBT.

Qualifications

• A degree in accounting, finance, commerce or similar.
• 5+ years in a hands on finance role, running month end and year end end to end.
• Margin analysis and financial modelling experience, with advanced Excel.
• Experience preparing BAS, PAYG withholding, payroll tax and FBT returns.
• Budgeting, rolling forecasting and cash flow forecasting experience.
• Experience managing debtors and credit control.
• Able to explain numbers to non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Run month end and year end end to end, including balance sheet reconciliations, P&L and reporting by working day 10.
• Prepare monthly reporting with clear, practical commentary for the leadership team.
• Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts and monthly cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG withholding, payroll tax and FBT returns.
• Oversee debtors and credit control, including credit limits and PPSR registrations.
• Account for inventory, including landed cost and stock valuation.
• Manage foreign currency exposure, including hedging and forward contracts.
• Build pricing, margin and scenario models that support commercial decisions.
• Improve reporting through dashboards and automation.

I’m partnering with a well established, Australian owned business in Perth to appoint a hands on Finance Manager. It’s a broad role for someone who likes owning the numbers end to end and wants their analysis to actually shape decisions.

About the business

Our client is a Perth headquartered business that designs and supplies commercial products to customers in Australia and overseas. They have a lean team of around 40 people and a new three year growth strategy under way, so your work here will be seen, valued and acted on.

The role

This is a full time, permanent role within the Business Services team, based on site in Kewdale. There are no direct reports. You’ll support a part time Accounts Officer day to day and cover their work when needed.

What you’ll bring

• Experience personally preparing BAS, PAYG withholding, payroll tax and FBT returns
• Budgeting, rolling forecasting and cash flow forecasting experience
• Experience managing debtors and credit control
• The ability to explain the numbers clearly to people outside finance
• A hands on approach and comfort moving between detail and strategy in a lean team

Highly regarded

• CA or CPA qualification, or working towards it
• Pronto Xi and Cognos, or another ERP
• FX hedging, inventory accounting or credit management experience
• A manufacturing, wholesale or distribution background in an SME
• Customer pricing and rebate analysis
• Exposure to an ERP upgrade or major system rollout
