Little Athletics Queensland is based at QSAC in Brisbane and seeks a Finance Manager to oversee the numbers behind our statewide sport. You’ll run the day-to-day finances of a small, friendly team and work closely with the CEO, the Board and our Finance, Audit & Risk Committee.

The role offers flexible hours (12 hours per week) with an hourly rate between $40 and $55 plus superannuation. You’ll be based at QSAC, Brisbane, and attend quarterly Finance, Audit & Risk Committee meetings as

Responsabilidades

• Keep LAQ’s books accurate and up to date in MYOB
• Prepare monthly financial reports for the CEO and Board
• Run fortnightly payroll and manage super, BAS/IAS, FBT and WorkCover
• Coordinate the annual budget and monitor cash flow
• Prepare year-end financial statements and audit readiness
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing
• Provide financial advice to managers, the Board and Committee
• Look after banking, insurance queries and fleet vehicles

Little Athletics Queensland is looking for a Finance Manager to look after the numbers behind our statewide sport. Based at QSAC in Brisbane, you’ll run the day-to-day finances of a small, friendly team, and work closely with the CEO, the Board and our Finance, Audit & Risk Committee.

What you’ll do:

• Keep LAQ’s books accurate and up to date in MYOB
• Prepare monthly financial reports for the CEO and Board
• Run fortnightly payroll and manage super, BAS/IAS, FBT and WorkCover
• Coordinate the annual budget and keep an eye on cash flow
• Prepare year-end financial statements and get us audit ready
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including registration-related invoicing
• Support managers, the Board and the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee with financial advice and information
• Look after banking, insurance queries and fleet vehicles

What we’re looking for:

• Someone with solid experience in financial administration, budgeting and reporting
• Great attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Confidence working with MYOB, payroll and statutory obligations
• Good communication skills, and the ability to explain finances to non-finance people
• Someone who is reliable, organised and enjoys problem solving
• High standards of confidentiality and integrity

What you need:

• Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements to audit stage

• Working with Children Check (or the ability to get one before you start)

The details:
