Job summary

UGL Pty Limited in Melbourne seeks a Finance Lead to partner with operations, drive financial performance and steer strategic decisions across a major services portfolio. You will lead a finance and administration team, deliver robust forecasting, budgeting, and insightful reporting to inform executive choices.

You will bring CA/CPA or equivalent, a commerce or accounting degree, and proven experience in contract financial management, SAP, and Power BI.

• Degree in Commerce or Accounting is required.
• CA or CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in supporting projects, operations or maintenance-based businesses.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and performance analysis skills.

As a trusted Finance Business Partner, you will support business leaders in tactical and strategic decisions, providing insight into financial performance, forecasting, budgeting, risk management and commercial opportunities. You will also lead a team responsible for finance and administration activities while ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting. This role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to directly influence business performance and profitability. **What we offer** · A strategic leadership opportunity within a leading services organisation · Exposure to senior operational and executive stakeholders · Diverse and challenging portfolio of projects and contracts · Career development and leadership opportunities · Competitive remuneration package · Access to UGL employee benefits and wellbeing initiatives · Flexible and collaborative working environment **Key Responsibilities:** **Business Partnering** · Partner with Operations and Contract Managers to support business performance and decision-making. · Support business case development, tender submissions and commercial evaluations. · Support contract profitability through cost control, pricing reviews, working capital management and margin improvement initiatives · Analyse financial and operational performance, identify improvement opportunities and provide recommendations to enhance profitability. **Financial Reporting & Controls** · Manage end to end project financial reporting including forecasts, cash flow and margin analysis. · Provide detailed financial analysis, commentary and performance insights to management. · Lead month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and financial planning processes. · Present monthly financial result dashboards to operational management and leadership teams. · Manage balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, accruals and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. · Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and financial policies. **Team Leadership** · Lead, mentor and develop finance and administration team members. · Drive continuous improvements, reporting efficiencies and commercial outcomes. **About You** To be successful in this role, you will bring: · Degree qualifications in Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline. · CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification. · Demonstrated experience supporting projects, operations or maintenance-based businesses. · Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and performance analysis. · Experience delivering insightful reporting and commercial recommendations to senior stakeholders. · Strong understanding of contract financial management, cost control, risk management and profitability improvement. · Advanced stakeholder engagement, leadership and influencing skills. · SAP experience or exposure to SAP-based projects is highly regarded. · Power BI experience or the ability to develop reporting dashboards (highly regarded). **About UGL** As part of the CIMIC Group, UGL embraces diversity and inclusion and is committed to creating an environment where all employees can thrive.
